It still looks like a bomb has gone off inside, but actually, there's been lots of work completed, including all the first-fix electrics and almost all of the boarding out. This means we can really get a sense of the size of the space as it will be, and the rooms feel like, well, rooms!
Below you can see the view from both ends of the space - the mezzanine floor is taking shape!
We're having two meeting rooms which can be converted into a single conference room. The photo shows the new frame for the bi-fold door which will divide the room. Like I said - lots of mess!
Upstairs on the mezzanine, we'll have a dedicated studio and office for Pete and the Meaningful Money project. This room will have a glass front wall, which Pete says is definitely not so he can keep an eye on the team from above!
And then we have another meeting room which has already been dubbed 'Sharon's Counselling Room' which should be a quiet space to collaborate, or just hang out away from the buzz of the main space. This will also have a glass front wall, and the view from it is shown in the photo.
This shot gives you an idea of the height of the space. Here, we're looking down the office towards to the two meeting rooms. The void above will house one of the air conditioning units, hidden away but accessible.
And finally, here's the kitchen, which will be open-fronted and likely the heart of the office. We're still working out where to put our Verdant Beer/Moet fridge!
One more thing. We're super-excited to have three of these Bureau Booths being delivered in a few weeks. With much of our business being conducted with clients across the country, these offer a brilliant, sound-proofed mini-room to hold remote video meetings.
Best guess is that we'll be able to move in during October, maybe November. But certainly we'll be in by Christmas, ready to hit the ground running in 2025. More updates to follow before then!
